The experiential SEL curriculum for K-8 PE and expanded learning.
Playgility is a supplemental curriculum that builds social-emotional literacy inside the PE and expanded learning programs you already run. Every license also includes Building Trusted Spaces, the SEL training and daily companion for every adult in your education ecosystem. Everything both include is listed below.
A supplemental curriculum for K-8 PE and expanded learning programs
- 45 experiential lessons across three certification years: Building Community, Building Capacity, Building Commitment. Years 1 and 2 are available now.
- Online teacher training for every lesson, with a certificate at the end of each year.
- A game version of every Year 1 and Year 2 activity, which teachers play during training.
- A daily rhythm: a short opening, your PE lesson, and a closing circle where students name what they noticed and chose.
- Printable lesson plans tailored to your grade band, your classes, and your equipment, with your own stories and closing questions included.
- Plan My Year: a class-by-class calendar at the pace you choose, with a Weekly Focus on your dashboard.
- Family letters for every lesson, in English, with Spanish versions in progress.
- Standards alignment, lesson by lesson: the California PE Model Content Standards and CASEL.
- Playgility for ELO: the same curriculum adapted for expanded learning programs, with groups, program days, summer sessions, and alignment to the California Quality Standards for Expanded Learning.
- An admin dashboard with progress and insights for every school and class.
- Works on phones. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.
Training in the science of behavior and the six SEL Muscles™ for every adult our students interact with on campus
- Eight modules, about four hours, self-paced, with a certificate of completion. The science behind student behavior, adult self-care, the six SEL Muscles™, and Notice Choose Act®.
- Six trainings, each written for its audience, so every adult on campus shares the same vocabulary.
- A Weekly Focus for every week of the school year, on a calendar your district sets, with the week's focus, where it appears in your work, and what to say.
- A Practice Room for practicing difficult conversations with a simulated student or colleague, followed by a debrief.
- Advice from the field: short interviews with working school counselors, with more added through the year.
- Films from the A Trusted Space® series throughout every module.
- Included with every Playgility license. Your district decides whether staff complete it before the school year begins or use it as an ongoing resource.
A training for every role on campus.
Each training carries the same eight modules and weekly focus, with examples and practice written for that audience. A district can enroll one group or the whole campus, and families can take part at home.
